Due to the sensory organs that begin to develop in the mother’s womb; the baby’s sense of smell also begins to develop. When they first open their eyes to the world, they can perceive the smell of their mother and her milk. From birth, rather than other senses, it uses its sense of smell to recognize its surroundings, and from the 5th month of birth can distinguish different odors. They use their sense of smell to recognize their mother and drink her milk.  It is stated that the smell of breast milk has a calming effect, lemon-flavored cotton swabs regulate the breathing of babies, and the scent of vanilla reduces the frequency of apnea.
